Soft skills
Soft skills are skills that are not tied to a specific occupational field, but can be applied across all professional careers. A typical example would be interpersonal and communication skills. Students can complement their academic studies with training in soft skills.

Students with Italian qualification must earn 3 ECTS as soft skills:
- by attending one of the courses in the UNIMI catalogue. Attention: some courses in the catalogue can recognize more than 3 ECTS, but ONLY 3 ECTS can be recognized as soft skills in the plan of study of DSE. Possibly, further credits can be registered as elective
- by attending one of the laboratories of DSE ascribed as soft skills (please check https://dse.cdl.unimi.it/en/courses/laboratories).
Important. Instead of soft skills, students with a foreign qualification must earn 3 credits as Additional Language skills: Italian (please check https://dse.cdl.unimi.it/en/courses/italian-language-foreigners-tests-and-courses)
